Our footprint reflects a diverse range of projects spanning multiple provinces, focused on health research, capacity building, and community outreach across South Africa.
The district has an estimated population of 1.7 million and the population density is 158 per square kilometre. The population of the OR Tambo district makes the district the second biggest district in the Eastern Cape province. The largest proportion of the population is concentrated in the western part of the district around the main urban centre of Mthatha.
The district has an estimated population of 1.7 million which makes up about 40% of the total population of the Mpumalanga province. Most of the population is concentrated within the City of Mbombela, which is also the home of the Mpumalanga Provincial Government and, as a result, is the most concentrated economic hub within the province. As such, AQUITY has decided to work exclusively in the Ehlanzeni district.
